Key Experience/Skills for program management position:
1. Application development experience - $5 - 6 M efforts
2. Ability to manage work across multiple teams and lines of business with global delivery model
3. Experience managing multiple vendor statements of work
4. Ability to drive deliverable s and hold teams to dates
5. Good at identifying and managing technical risks and issues
6. Ability to learn new tools and drive through methodology
7. Recent and valid experience with driving Agile teams is mandatory
Experience: 15 years of work experience in the information technology field. Five + years of proven project leadership experience on large size ( > $5M) and complex projects including PLC/SDLC processes, facilitation, negotiation, delegation and mentoring. Successfully managed offshore resources or multiple vendors to deliver an IT project. Recent, relevant experience on GuideWire implementations.
Knowledge: Must have demonstrated knowledge of project management and systems development lifecycle processes, tools, concepts and methodologies. Must have in depth, demonstrated knowledge of insurance and financial services industry, operations, customers and businesses.
Skills/Competencies: Must possess key competencies of effective program/project management such as scope, definition, time management, cost analysis and allocation, human resource management, risk assessment and management, procurement, communication and integration management. Must be able to work and manage complex programs and projects. Must have strong problem-solving skills as well as decision-making skills. Must have strong negotiation skills to interact with management and internal and external partners, and stakeholders. Must be good at identifying and managing technical risks |
